The ARK

I think I'm going to start building the ARK. It will not stop raining here.

Well it's another borning day at work, it's painfully to try and keep my eyes open. Nothing exciting planed for this weekend, but that can change fast.

But on the plus side I don't have to work. Looking for some new music to listen too, so I guess I could do that while it's raining all weekend.

Ok I'm about 1/2 way through this TPB and I can say now that I like it. I just got done with the chapter on Doc Manhattan and this is some of the best reading I've had in a long time.

Draft Weekend

FIRST ROUND: Alex Barron
Position: Offensive tackle
Height, weight: 6-7, 320

Thoughts: finally we can have another Orlando Pace (Well I hope). If you give the Rams time to throw in the pocket, there is not another team out there that can beat us.


SECOND ROUND: Ron Bartell
Position: Cornerback/safety
Height, weight: 6-1, 208

Projected role: Howard will get a shot at a backup role at cornerback first, but ultimately could wind up at safety. Should contribute to special teams

All things we need help on. Corner and special teams. Happy with this pick.

THIRD ROUND: Oshiomogho "O.J." Atogwe
Position: Safety
Height, weight: 5-11, 203

Projected role: The Rams are thin at safety - particularly if veteran Adam Archuleta is slow to recover from a back injury. Atogwe should be among several competitors for a starting job.

Again we need help at Safety.....But I think we needed more of a run support type player. We will see how this pans out.

THIRD ROUND: Richie Incognito
Position: Guard/tackle
Height, weight: 6-3, 305

Projected role: Recovery from knee surgery will keep Incognito out for several months. He could wind up on the injured reserve list. At best, he'll fill a reserve spot on the offensive line.

And here we go....We draft a player that is hurt.....Good job marts.


I wont bother putting the rest of the down. Its surprising that we didn't draft a WR till the 6th round though. And the POS we are weakest on......we didn't draft one fucking player. LB, oh well I have to guess that we are going after them in free agency. I know we already picked up a couple.....But who knows how they are going to pan out.

Watchmen

I started reading the TPB of Alan Moore's The Watchmen. And I'm kinda lost. I don't get it yet. It supposed to be one of the best comic book runs ever, and it seems corny so far. It doesn't help that I can't pronounce the main characters name. Its spelt Rorschach is it ROARSHACK? I've been calling him HORSHACK from Welcome Back Kotter. Hopefully it will pick up.

Friday

Its Friday....I don't have to work tomorrow, so it should be a good day!

Nothing very exciting has been happening around here, except for the Jesus thing.
Started watching Revelations last night. I think I missed something because I'm all kinds of lost. Ill give it a couple of more episodes before I make any further judgment.

finally got to watch this weeks 24. It was another slow episode to set up the next couple. I know I shouldn't like this show. Its corny, unbelievable, but I still like it.

Also watched Scrubs. That is the funniest show on TV. That's all I can say.

Watched The Office. I still don't get it, I just don't think its all that funny. There is some funny parts, but all around I just don't think its funny. I guess cause I work in an "Office" environment, and its nothing like that. I was expecting like a weekly show of "Office Space", maybe that was my problem.....too high expectations.

WOW....I watched a lot last night. It was raining so I really couldn't do anything.

Anyway back to work and ill post more later.

I never have my digital camera when I need it!

I swear….every time I see some efed up shit I never have my camera on me. Case in point. Today a friend calls me from 2 floors down and says “look out the window NOW”. So I look out the window and I see this guy walking away from my building on earth city expressway, dressed in a white robe and carrying a huge cross on his back. I have no idea were he was going. There is only 2 things down that way and one is a dump the other is a Ampatheater. And I’m pretty sure there was no shows at the Amptheater at 12pm.

Very strange….and I couldn’t take a pic of it.

There has been a Bigfoot sighting in northern Manitoba. Residents have been flocking to Georgina Henry's house in Norway House, Manitoba to watch nearly three minutes of video shot be her son, Bobby Clarke. The video was shot just after dawn Saturday morning on the banks of the Nelson River. Clarke says he was on duty at his job as a car ferry operator when he saw a "big, black figure" on the opposite bank, about 300 meters away. He grabbed his video camera -- which he says he always has with him -- and started filming. Clarke says the creature was "massive." He says he has been nervous ever since seeing the creature, especially when he takes the ferry to the side of the river the creature was on...

Another Day

So last night was coo, parents as teachers came by and said our kid was smart. So that’s cool. Ill probably be posting on here later today. Not sure why my news feeds aren’t working….ill get on that.

I have to get this off my chest. To all of you stupid fucks who cant walk into a restaurant or any place of business without stopping directly after you walk in the door I have a message.

GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY!

Is it so hard to move off to the left or right so other people can get in? I guess it is because this douche bag at Applebee’s last night couldn’t. He was about 350lb’s so I couldn’t get past him. He just walked in the door and stopped. So I shouldered him and he looked at me like I was the Ass Bag.

I’m really not meant to be out in public. Because the public is mostly morons.

The Rest Of the Weekend

Had a BBQ on sat. That was a good time, a lot of beer and friends. Sunday watched my boy and another one of my buddy's kids while the women went to get there bridesmaid dresses.

It was ok, watched the cards win.

Nothing really exciting happened.

Will update throughout the day.

Meanwhile enjoy the ALP down there.

Last Night

Bowling was fair. Won a little money so that's good. Had a good amount of beers and a good time, watch a buddy of mine strike into the 9th, I was more watching him than paying atention to what I was doing.

We discussed this once while we were drinking on a fishing trip and came to the conclusion that all the stories that are either interning, or funny about us start with that simple statement.

Man ran over the wrong dentist
A German man with a longheld grudge against a dentist tried to run him over - but got the wrong dentist.
The 47-year-old, from Bielefeld, hated the dentist after he allegedly pulled out the wrong teeth in 1992, and then botched the repair work.
The anger boiled over after a heavy drinking session, and the man climbed into his car to drive to the dental surgery and tell the dentist what he thought of him.
But he mixed up his dentist with another dentist who, by chance, was leaving the surgery after work, and on the spur of the moment decided to run him down.
Police said it was a miracle that the injured man suffered only cuts and bruises and had not been killed.
The defendant admitted to trying to kill him and said: "I hate him deeply. I've been in pain for years since he worked on my teeth."
The man is now facing charges of attempted manslaughter and grievous bodily harm.

Midday ramblings

Ok just got back from lunch and meetings. And I still don't have anything to do. Getting a little sleepy. On the plus side McDees didn’t EF my order up this time. I had to eat there again cause I forget EVERYTHING. I had my lunch all made(and it was a good lunch at that) and I must have set it down before I walked out the door this morning. Yea that's right my lunch as of now is sitting on the counter at my house. Anyway need something to do. I had to remove the Andy Capp Comic at the end because it wasn’t updating it like I wanted to. Probably cause I can code this shit and I have to steal everything then make it work.

Getting a little excited about bowling tonight. We get money tonight, and I have a chance to win more if I don't drink too much and actually bowl well.

And Ill be at work tomorrow because I’m stupid and volunteered for OT tomorrow. Oh well the money is nice.

This Morning

So its a good day. Friday. Payday. Good weather. I'm a little tired because my son woke up about 5 times last night. I hope he's not getting sick again.

How can coffee taste this bad and yet I still drink it. Its amazing. See we have one of those "coffee club" type things at work. Its only like 10 cent a cup....So its a deal. But in return you get coffee that tastes and smells like wet dog. But I'm tired and it will have to do.

Tonight

Got home from work tonight and my boy was in a great mood. We played for a couple of hours then Jen got home. I mowed the lawn then we went for a walk. Sounds boring huh?

Yea yea just another day in the middle aged, middle amercian life. Oh well could be worse right?

So its getting better

So today’s going better than most. Probably because its getting closer to Friday. Which consequently is the last night of bowling. I’m a little sad about that, but the summer is coming around the corner and I don't really want to be inside bowling ever Friday night.

Just got really slow here at work for some reason. That's good though because I can post random useless crap on here.
Got my qualities at work and they were good, so I got that going for me.

Ok

The guy 2 cubes in front of me just got a new cell phone. Well I don't know that he got a NEW cell phone, but he sure as hell discovered how to use one. Never heard him before on it. Now he walks in every morning talking absurdly loud on it. And what’s worse?I think he is arguing with his women. I mean you can hear him across the floor. He was a douche bag before, but now he has reached new douche bag heights.

So if anyone out there is reading this……..check your volume while you are talking on the cell phone. Or you too might reach new levels of douche bag.

Another great morning.

So its another great morning at work. Ok that was a little sarcastic. Got a new project at work and this one sucks a little less than the last one. So I got that going for me. The weather is nice, about 60 degrees and its supposed to hit 70 today. The fact that I opened my bag of cheerios and promptly shot them all over my cube…..I’m not going to let that get me down.

Cards lost yesterday. On an up note I did remember to bring my MP3 player. So maybe today is going to be a good day!

Today Sucks

I got one of the all time worse projects at work. I forgot my MP3 player so i have to listen to shitty KSHE, and they happen to be on a "no repeat" kick so i have to listen to obscure 70's rock songs all damn day. I would switch over to THE POINT.

WAIT THIS JUST IN THE CARDS GAME IS ON AND I CAN LISTEN TO THAT.......WHO HO.

McDees

So I’m at McDees today (and I’m not normally a person that asks a lot out of the people behind the window) but this Mongol has to hand me a soda while its spilling all over the place. And instead of stopping to fix the situation he proceeds to force it into my car. So I gave up and took the dripping soda. Then he hands me some napkins and says “Have a nice day”. I swear I saw red. WTF….i know they don't make much, and they could care less about me…..but is it that hard to just fix the problem. But alas I never bitch about it, because then you get spit in your food. The black cloud is always following.
